Delete your PETMET account.
Published 1 September 2026 · You can initiate deletion in the app or from this web page.
PETMET users can request permanent deletion of their account and associated ordinary account data.
Delete your account in the PETMET app
If you can still sign in to PETMET, use the account deletion option in PETMET's account/settings controls. The protected deletion flow asks you to confirm the permanent deletion request before it proceeds.
Request deletion without the app
If you have uninstalled PETMET, cannot access the app, or prefer to make the request outside the app, email petmet.support.au@gmail.com.
Use a subject such as PETMET account deletion request. Where possible, send the request from the email address associated with your PETMET account and include your PETMET username if you know it. This helps PETMET identify the correct account while minimising the amount of additional information needed.
PETMET may need to take a proportionate step to confirm that the requester is entitled to delete the account before processing an external request.

What is deleted
When a valid deletion request is completed, PETMET's deletion process is designed to remove the ordinary PETMET account and associated user data that is no longer required, including the public-facing profile and ordinary account/product information controlled by PETMET.
Where applicable, PETMET also removes or de-identifies user-controlled content and files through its protected deletion workflow, subject to narrow exceptions and the practical limits of short-lived backups.
Information that may be retained
PETMET may retain a limited, access-restricted record where reasonably necessary for a legitimate reason such as:
- security or fraud prevention;
- an active safety investigation;
- child-safety or serious abuse case continuity;
- a dispute or legal claim; or
- an applicable legal or regulatory requirement.
A narrow retention exception does not mean PETMET keeps your ordinary public account active. PETMET aims to separate retained safety/legal records from the deleted account and minimise identifying information wherever reasonably practicable.
Short-lived backup copies may not disappear instantly, but PETMET does not use backups to restore an account after a completed deletion request except where required to respond to a security or integrity incident.
Timing
PETMET aims to process valid deletion requests within a reasonably prompt period. If additional information is needed to verify the request, or if a narrow safety/legal hold affects part of the deletion process, PETMET will explain the next step where it can do so without compromising a safety investigation or legal obligation.
